Is Britney Spears ugly?

Is Britney Spears still a princess when the make up is off? Not if you believe the lyrics to the hip hop song 'Black Princess' where the artist referred to Britney Spears as plain ugly.

“India Arie, you are so sweet and lovely. Britney Spears you are ugly”. Those are lyrics from the hip hop/reggae song ‘Black Princess’ that has been creating quite a stir on the internet. The pop princess has been accused of a lot of things including a less than perfect mother, but this must be the first time someone has referred to her as ugly. When ask why did he took such a shot at Britney Spears, Bookman the artist for ‘Black Princess’ replied: “I was just watching VH1 most beautiful people and I was not seeing any of the women that I consider beautiful such as Venus Williams and India Arie. Then they showed Britney Spears and I almost fell out my chair, because I thought there is no way Britney is as beautiful or talented as India Arie, so I just came up with the song right there”. The song which is one of the most downloaded on both Itunes and Yahoo music is getting plenty of praises and criticisms. Surprisingly on MySpace almost everyone seems to agree with Bookman. Some MySpace users even go as far as saying that there is no competition, India Arie far outshines Britney in both the beauty and talent departments. Both comments about the song and the song itself can be seen and heard at http://www.myspace.com/tcooo. The song does not stop at Britney Spears, but also take shots at some athletes like Kobe Bryant, Charles Barley, Tiger Woods, OJ Simpson and Anna Kournikova.

We left a message with Britney’s publicist to get Britney’s take on the song. Up until press time our call was not returned. Britney Spears will appear almost nude on the cover of the August issue of Harper's Bazaar. ‘Black Princess by Bookman continues to be heavily downloaded on Itunes and Yahoo Music. The song can also be heard at Hip hop and reggae hits
